Wonderful Experience in the Galapagos and Ecuador This was our second time to be able to visit the Galapagos, specifically because we wanted to see the nesting site of the Waved Albatross, only found on Espanola Island. However, we also wanted to see a little more of Quito and the mainland. Midland Travel helped us create an itinerary for a wonderful week, starting in Quito and experiencing the equator, then spending an amazing day birding with a local specialist found just for us, and then finally boarding a comfortable yacht with one of the most knowledgeable Galapagos Naturalists in the circuit! Every part of the trip was very well planned and tailored for us. So outstanding, we might have to go back, again!

Ecuador and the Galapagis Ilkands Our trip to Ecuador (Feb 7-20, 2026) was fantastic. A good deal of the credit for that goes to Alejandro S at Midland Travel. Alejandro built a customized tour package for us based on the “must do” list and duration constraints we provided. He then responded quickly to any and all adjustment requests we made, including adding two more people to our group. Once all the prep work was completed and we had decided to book through Midland Travel, payment was set up in WeTravel and Alejandro provided links. Payment was a simple painless process. Upon arrival in Ecuador, we were met at the airport by the contract transport agent arranged by Alejandro. This man/driver/tour guide, Guillermo Valencia, would be with us our entire time on the mainland, which included visits to three cities (Quito, Baños, and Riobamba). In addition to driving us to all destinations and excursions that were booked, Guillermo also recommended places to eat and showed us some of his favorite places in these cities and along the way to them. There were a few long rides in the van, but he kept us well entertained and informed. He was friendly, professional, and well prepared. By the end of our time in Ecuador, we all considered Guillermo more a friend than a tour guide. He had a different tour to do where his daughter was an official guide for the first time, so was unable to drive us to the airport, but we received a selfie from him being the proud dad with his daughter working in the background. The second week was a trip to the Galapagos Islands. Again, Alejandro had everything set up and supplied a primary contact number from our group to his agent in the islands. While we only had Nelly for a single tour, she stayed in touch and made sure we knew what time transportation would arrive for the next day’s tours. Two of our group were unable to to hike the Sierra Negra volcano, and Nelly set up a nice spa day for them at a nearby hotel. All in all, I highly recommend Midland Travel and Alejandro. If visiting Ecuador, be sure to request Guillermo as your tour guide/transportation person.

Excellent service at a fair price. We have had excellent service from Alejandro at Midland travel. They organised not only quality Airport transfers in Quito but also an action packed trip including all airfares, hotel and a great guide for our action packed days in and around Cuenca. Wonderful experience in Ecuador and Galapagos with midland travel We recently returned from a trip to Ecuador that included the mountain ranges and the Galapagos we were there for 13 days. Alejandro was our trip manager. He had everything set up to a T we had people pick us up and take us everywhere we needed to be.Our tours every single day were wonderful. Midland travel was easy to work with and was able to tailor the trips to our Needs. We were a group of eight and age ranges from 45 to 78 years old. Some of the hikes in the mountains were challenging for the older ladies, but Alejandro was able to adjust their tours to their needs, even giving them a spa for the day experience while the rest of the group hiked the volcano. Guillermo was our primary tour guide through the mountains. He overseen and drove us everywhere. He was fantastic. His English speaking was very easy to understand and if we needed anything he would accommodate us. he was very knowledgeable in the area and special places to take us. We really appreciated him. I would highly recommend midland travel!

Midland Travel Made Our Dream Trip to Ecuador Perfect Our trip to Ecuador, arranged by Midland Travel, was absolutely incredible from start to finish. 9 day trip from Quito to Guayaquil We can highly recommend Midland travel. After a group travel to Galapagos we were picked up in Papallacta by our English speaking guide and driver José and had great 9 days on our way to Guayaquil via Cotopaxi, Baños, Riobamba and Cuenca. Midland travel booked amazing hotels for us and we saw so much of beautiful Ecuador. Having a personal guide was the right choice. We always felt safe with our guide. Valérie was pit contact person and it helped a lot that we could communicate in German with her.

Great agency with people that truely care about your experience We booked via Midland Travel, because we found a lot of recommendations for them online and they truely lived up to their reputation. Originally we were planning to spend three days in the Amazon and Alejandro offered us different options, asking and taking into consideration what we were looking for. He always answered super quickly at pretty much all time of the day, no matter what day it was. When we decided that we were not going to do the trip to the Amazon because of the very long drive and hence little time there, he came up with other ideas of what we could do during the three days in the Andes instead. When we got picked up for our 2-day Cotopaxi and Quilotoa trip, he even called to ensure that we were at the right spot at the right time. We had a wonderful time at both places. For the last day we had in Quito, he came up with different group and individual options for the cloud forest and we chose to go to Bellavista private reserve, were we had a wonderful day with georgeous food, a lovely long hike through the reserve seeing a great amount of birds and even managed to see a Spectacled Bear, which we never expected. Truely wonderful. We would always book with them again!

Excellent, trustable, and reliable tour operator! Brought a group of tourists to Ecuador (Amazon Jungle & Galapagos) with Midland travel, and the process was smooth from the start till the end. Alejandro's replies were always prompt and he customized the experience according to our requests. All the details were looked after, and the transport options were top-tier (a huge bus for 10 of us, and even a private chartered water taxi!). Five star experience in Peru! Just did a trip to Peru, organized by Midland Travel. Five stars experience!The agency created the schedule for us tailored to our interests. We were picked up and driven back to hotel in time. English speaking guides allowed to fully enjoy the culture and history of the country. Hotels were very decent quality. Fabulous attractions in Lima, Cuzco and Puno. Very strongly recommend the service! When organized, the travel is very efficient; you just cannot visit all desired places on your own - time is so short.Next year I am planning another trip to Easter Island with the same agency.
