Whale Bay lies at the northwestern shore of Santa Cruz Island, close to Dragon Hill. The beach at Whale Bay is greenish because of the many olivine crystals in the sand. The bay was frequented by whalers because there is a path to the highlands from where they would get fresh water.
Off the shore lies the Eden Islet where you can snorkel with sea lions and observe sea birds.

Highlights: Green-sand beach, sea lions, blue-footed boobies, frigate birds
Activities: Hiking (Whale Bay), dinghy ride, snorkeling (Eden Islet)
Tip: Watch out for ceramic relics at the beach that are an indication for former human settlements in the area.

Activities and visits may vary according to the cruise.
