From Puerto Ayora, you can reach Tortuga Bay by foot (approx. 45 minutes) or by water taxi. Tortuga Bay features two beautiful white-sand beaches – Playa Brava and Playa Mansa.
The first one is about 1 km long but has strong waves, so it is not recommended to swim here.
The second beach is secluded and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. It is a little paradisiac beach surrounded by mangroves. The water is shallow, crystal clear and calm. On land, you can observe shorebirds and in the water, you can search for whitetip reef sharks and marine iguanas.

Highlights: Paradisiac beach, marine iguanas, shorebirds
Activities: Walk on the beach, swimming, snorkeling from the beach, kayaking
Tip: Although you are rather close to the town, there are no facilities or shops at this site, so bring everything you need for the visit.
Reef sharks like to rest at the sea bottom close to the mangrove roots.

Activities and visits may vary according to the cruise.
