The visitor site Elizabeth Bay is located on the western side of Isabela Island. The shore is mostly covered in mangroves and it is not permitted to disembark. Therefore, you explore the area during a long dinghy ride.
The mangroves provide shelter for many animals and especially their offspring. Through the crystal-clear water, you can observe different fish species, turtles and rays. Pelicans and herons love fishing in the area and flightless cormorants can be seen on rocky shores. With a bit of luck, you will also see penguins swimming around the mangroves, what an incredible delight!

Highlights: Mangroves, high chances of seeing penguins, abundant marine wildlife
Permitted activities: Dinghy ride
Tip: Bring your underwater camera to take pictures from the dinghy.
