The El Junco Lagoon is a freshwater lake that was formed in a small volcanic crater and its diameter is 270 meters. It is located in the highlands of San Cristobal Island.
It takes about 30 minutes by car and a few minutes walking to reach this site. The trail from the street to the viewpoint mainly consists of stairs. From the lookout point, you can enjoy the view of the lake and the surrounding landscapes.
The lake’s name derives from the plant Junco that is common in this area and belongs to the family of the sedges.
