Devil’s Crown is a snorkeling spot off the coast of Floreana Island, close to Cormorant Point. Parts of an eroded volcanic crater protrude out of the water and these rocky spikes look like a crown, hence the name. It is possible to snorkel in- and outside the crown. The water outside the crown is deeper and therefore, you can observe larger fish and rays. If you are lucky, you might even see hammerhead sharks. This is the reason why Devil’s Crown is known to be one of the best snorkeling sites in the Galapagos Islands.
