The Charles Darwin Station lies at the outskirts of Puerto Ayora. Apart from the research station, it features a breeding center for giant tortoises and an interpretation center.
At the breeding center, you can observe different species of the most iconic Galapagos animal and learn about their anatomy and way of life.
At the interpretation center, you learn about other threatened animals and plants and the efforts of the Galapagos National Park and its associates to save them. You can also read about the (natural) history of the Enchanted Islands.

Permitted activities: Walking
Tip: Walk from the Charles Darwin Station back to the port to witness and enjoy the village life (including the fish market).
