OVERVIEW
Key Features:
- Inside Yasuni National Park
- Cultural focus
- Owned and operated by the Añangu Community
- Service category: first class
The Napo Cultural Center is the sister lodge of the famous Napo Wildlife Center. Like its sister lodge, it lies within the Yasuní National Park and is owned and operated by the Kichwa community Añangu. However, the Napo Cultural Center is less luxurious and scattered around the indigenous village close to the Napo River.
The lodge features 16 independent huts with standard rooms and mini suites. Thanks to its design that combines modern and traditional Kichwa-style elements, the lodge makes for a cozy “home away from home”.
While most Amazon lodges almost entirely focus on the nature and wildlife of the rain forest, the tour program of the Napo Cultural Center includes many cultural experiences like ancestral ceremonies and cultural exchanges with the locals.
The lodge’s first class service is guaranteed through a welcoming staff made up of natives from the community, gourmet cuisine with local ingredients and comfortable cabins with all the amenities of a hotel.
Thanks to your visit to Napo Cultural Center, you support the lodge’s efforts to be culturally responsible and ecologically sustainable.
Note: Find a generalized tour schedule and useful information about the jungle (weather, transportation and a recommended packing list) here. As the Napo Cultural Center features some special activities like ancestral rituals, please contact one of our Midland Travel specialists to receive a detailed tour itinerary for this lodge.
